In-clinic fluoride treatment with a highly adhesive fluoride varnish, aimed at preventing decay, desensitising tooth necks and reducing dental plaque.
Sodium fluoride: 22600 ppm F-
Fixofluor® is solely to be used by dentists. It should not be used in a patient's self-medication. It is presented in a varnish for professional use to offer greater adhesion, prolonging the time that it is in contact with the dental enamel. Formulated for:
- Preventing caries.
- Desensitises the tooth neck.
- Reduces dental plaque.
How to use
Any dental plaque must be completely removed beforehand in a dental clinic. Then, use a cotton swab, spatula or similar object to take a small amount of Fixofluor® from the tube and spread it across the entire tooth surface, especially focusing on the occlusal, interproximal and gingival areas, until a thin layer has formed. The patient can close their mouth as soon as it has been applied.
The number of applications is determined by the doctor and may range from once a week for a month to once every 3 months, 6 months or year, depending on the patient's susceptibility to suffering from tooth decay.
When treating hypersensitive tooth necks, the dentist will determine the frequency of the applications. We recommend 1 or 2 days per week for a month.
Its application is not recommended for anyone with an empty stomach, in particular children.
During the 4 hours following its application, the patient should avoid eating solid food, using a mouthwash and brushing their teeth.
The accumulation of fluoride ion should be avoided, so on the day of the Fixofluor® application, no other products with high concentrations of fluoride ion should be administered, either topically or orally.
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not swallow.
