Sustainability

Committed to building a more sustainable tomorrow.

Greater sustainability in the finished product.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in the reduction of the use of plastics in products and the search for more environmentally friendly materials.

Plastic reduction

We have achieved a significant reduction in plastic by reducing the grammage used in toothpaste tubes and rinse bottles.

Since 2012, we have reduced plastic use in toothpastes by 216 tons and in rinses and sprays by 64 tons since 2014. In addition, with our new toothbrush model, we achieved a 14% decrease in plastic use in this product line.

We have replaced plastic trays with cardboard holders for brush and accessory presentations.

We are also in the process of replacing plastic blister packs with cardboard elements in certain accessories.

Recyclable and recycled packaging

The plastics used in the tubes of topical gels are fully recyclable. The bottles we use in rinses and sprays are also recyclable.

We use compostable bags and 100% recyclable plastic, as well as 100% recycled cardboard in the packaging of our brush line.

Although we have already reduced the percentage of plastic in our toothpastes, our next challenge is to incorporate more sustainable materials.

We continue our research to increase the percentage of recyclable materials in our packaging, as well as recycled materials, thus contributing to the circular economy.

Transparency and certifications.

FSC Certified

We are in the process of changing our product boxes for FSC-certified boxes.

FSC is a global organization that
promotes responsible forest management
,
environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management.

Laboratorios Kin is committed to sourcing all of its cartons from responsible sources.

Paperless office

For more than a decade, we have spearheaded the transition to a paperless office, implementing strategies that have reduced our paper use by 95% in the last five years, equivalent to 60 trees/year.

Currently, our annual consumption has been reduced to only 1,000 sheets.

Teleworking and reduction of the corporate environmental footprint (they are 100% remote).

Digitalization has enabled our commercial and office teams to work remotely, offering flexibility and security. With this modality, we have reduced travel, achieving a reduction of 225 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
